An enchanting glory - Khadakwasla.

Sparkling shores, waving waters, mesmerizing winds, reflecting lights from the long stretches of waters glorifying your face & panoramic glimpses of those bountiful waters & those secrets of beauty of nature getting revealed as we wonder along that woodside vista...

Don't take it as a frivolous feeling if you feel that it is a hallucination arising in your mind when you look at fog-clad locale, especially you might feel this situation in 'trans' period between rainy season & freezing winter.

One more thing that adds up richness & aristocracy to the place is splendid scene of The Sinhgad fort appearing as a high mountain by the backwaters. 'The Sinhgad fort', which has witnessed saga of The Maratha empire.

The lake-like backwaters of Khadakwasla dam are surrounded with crescent shaped ranges of Sahyadri mountain. The scene emphasizes the mediocrity of the human. It makes us banish the feeling of 'self' & 'ego'. Not only this , it makes our heads leaned down with gratitude towards Nature.

The place appeals, also because of bagful of memories which are & will be with permanently engraved in my heart. Those afterclass boredoms, stress of exams & sometimes those melancholic mindsets always used to conclude as an outing to our everbest 'Khadak', obviously with those very near & dear friends.

Memorizing those B'day celebrations, 'treat-escorts', weekend picnics, & sometimes 'with-no-reason' trips smoothly unfolds those warm feelings I bore in in most rejoicing part of my life which is ever-comforting.

Really we collegians celebrate our lives, with such a place which shelters us with its charisma. It really helps building up a nice companionship, feeling of oneness among friends & a true committment between the loveliest couples ever(as they think of it!)

As a khadak-lover (as many of my friends are) I cordially feel that may nature bless this place with her beauty & retain the place as it is for years after years...

It would really be a faux pas neglecting name of Khadakwasla when someone needs peace of mind, purity of thoughts & self-actualisation.
